Innovative Solid-state battery brings us closer to the promise of our Electric Mobility Future

Electric Mobility is seen as the future of transportation. Innovative solid-state battery maker Quantumscape backed by investor Bill Gates and chief scientist John Goodenough - the inventor of the lithium-ion battery and noble prize recipient. Solid-state batteries promise to deliver 30% more range and charge in as little as 12 minutes, that's half the time of the fastest lithium-ion battery. Currently it takes too long to charge electric cars that use lithium batteries and there are not enough chargers. Tesla offers 300+ mile range and recharging with V3 Superchargers support peak charging rates of up to 250 kW, which would equate to replenishing 1000 miles of range per hour. Rivian offers 400 mile range and 80% recharge times in 30 min. Home charging using a level 2 charger 220V take 4+ hours. Unfortunately it can take more than 20 hours to complete a full charge on 120 volts.
